Vicki Wooters

Vicki works with a scent discriminating German Shepherd Dog, Tikki. Together they have been successful in responding to requests to assist police and fire departments in locating missing persons. Vicki's involvement in SAR began with a dog training background. The need for the well trained dog as a resource in emergency situations has led her to do more with her dogs. Vicki also trains with an non-scent discriminating dog, Cash. In addition to volunteer work for search and rescue, pet therapy at local hospitals, Vicki is active in other local organizations and is a Financial Advisor.

TIKKI

Search and rescue (SAR) dogs are trained to perform many tasks. An operational SAR dog should be non-aggressive to other dogs and to people and have basic obedience and be under control at all times. Wynthea’s Tequila (Tikki), TD, CD, NA, TDI, CGC. Tikki is a trailing dog and is trained for scent discrimination. Tikki has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen Award, her Therapy dog, obedience, companion dog , and her Novice Agility titles. These achievements rounded out her primary achievements of scent work. Tikki has earned her Tracking dog title. She has successfully passed a wilderness trailing evaluation aged over 29 hours, during a cross-country riding competition. She has also passed her urban trailing evaluation through busy city streets and shopping centers following an 18-hour-old trail. Tikki is started using an uncontaminated article belonging to the missing person. She is trained to follow that scent and no other. At times she may track or air-scent. She will go wherever she smells that specific scent. Contamination does not effect her work; Tikki is trained to work pavements, streets and wilderness .

CASH

Cash (Wynthea's Cash vom haus Wooters, CD,TD, CGC,TDI) is an airscenting dog trained to ARDA standards. He is three years old and is operational in airscenting as well as being certified in tracking and obedience.He is currently training for urban search and rescue in addition to his wilderness work.
